More close-up weaving ...

I’m ready for my close up …Tapestry weaving is, in essence, quite logical - over one warp, and under the next, then the other way around when you return from the other direction.But that’s kind of like saying that painting is logical, because you just put paint on a brush, then onto the canvas ;)So yeah, tapestry is actually a very complicated medium when it comes to getting what is in your head onto the warp!Saying that, I though this one would be easier, but it turns out it’s been a bit trickier than I expected … but it’s now...

Well, hello there Bertha! It’s been a while since I’ve worked on this tapestry … winter is a busy time, with Bowerbird, restocking my suppliers, and generally being a great time of year for lovely scarves! :D But now I’m back to balancing my tapestry with my handweaving, and this long weekend has been all about swapping between them, as well as some candle making! In fact, the theme of June for me is BALANCE … how about you, are you good at balance?
Queeriosities in The Haunting exhibition
