Hey, it’s a Blue Fairy Bread Cravat! If you prefer the shorter length of scarf (which I call the ‘Cravat’), then you are in luck! I made a few more for the Bowerbird Design Market, but I’ll be happy to sell them beforehand :DI sew the Cravat in a loop with a twist, so they sit well under a jacket, or with a jumper. It gives a bit of warmth without being too chunky :)You can find them on my website - and don’t forget you can avoid postage by picking up from Collective Haunt, or at the Bowerbird Design Market!
2 weeks until Bowerbird Design Market!!! Let me know if you are coming along! May 13-15, Wayville Showgrounds. I will have PLENTY of handwoven scarves, scrunchies and plant holders, and am looking forward to doing some handmade shopping of my own :)
SAVE THE DATE(S)! Super excited to be selling my handwoven luxury products at the gorgeous Bowerbird Design Market from 13-15 May at Adelaide Showgrounds! In the next few weeks I will be madly weaving, making scarves, plant holders and scrunchies - so if you’re in Adelaide, please come along and say hi! Check out the Bowerbird website to see the list of designers and makers so you can plan your shopping trip! Sssssooooo many amazing artisans ... I’m looking forward to some retail fun myself :D
If you've ever wondered how I weave my luxury infinity scarves, then watch the YouTube video below for the whole process from start to finish! Some scarves take a total of 3-4 hours each, some take up to 7 hours - it all depends on the complexity of the pattern, and how thin the cotton is :)
Introducing ... ‘Fairy Bread’ scarves and scrunchies! Is fairy bread known outside Australia and New Zealand? If you don’t know what it is, it is white bread with butter (or in our household Nuttelex!) with ‘hundreds and thousands’ (which are like coloured sprinkles). But I digress - I have two colourways. The first are pinks and emerald greens, and the second are gorgeous ocean blues and greens. So far I have made one scarf in each colour, and 2 scrunchies in the blue colourway.Check out the website HERE!
