PURPLE NOIR is electric violet and deep black, woven together into a diamond texture that shifts and sparks as it moves. Black at the foundation, violet doing the talking - and this particular violet has a lot to say.

Handwoven in my Adelaide studio on an 8-shaft floor loom, this is a NOIR collection piece - meaning the black is always in the bones, even when the colour is this loud. The result is a scarf that reads as striking without trying, and alternative without explanation.
