This work circles around the Murray Bridge Bunyip - part monument, part echo of something older. The Mulyawonk sits beneath it, largely unacknowledged, but not absent. The tension holds.

Australia’s “Big Things” have always leaned slightly absurd - oversized fruit, animals, objects made into landmarks. A reason to pull over, stretch your legs, take a photo 📸
The Bunyip fits into that lineage, but uneasily.

Here, it’s less about nostalgia and more about what fades, what gets maintained, and what gets quietly replaced.

The tapestry holds that imbalance without resolving it.
