Woohoo, shop update!This gorgeous scarf is a popular one, but I haven’t made one to add to the website for a while - naughty me!But I have now rectified this … you can find it on my website - it’s so soft and delicious, perfect for all genders, and goes with everything in your wardrobe!I really need to make more in different colours, because my old hot pink and black one is the one that I reach for the most, even after all these years :D

So what is a weaver’s favourite scarf?I have to confess, while I love a classic double-wrapped scarf, my go-tos are usually my Cravats!I love to wear a Cravat under a jacket - it gives a pop of colour under a black coat, and also looks great with a jumper or shirt.My favourite at the moment is the Liquorice Allsort cravat, although this Purple one is also totally delicious. I think I need to make myself one, to be honest :D

Perfectionism, part 2 …In my last video, I was talking about perfectionism, and how tapestry weaving is a perfectionist’s nightmare.Well, in contrast, handweaving demands perfectionism!If the loom is warped up incorrectly, even if you miss one single thread … the whole pattern will be thrown out, and fixing it takes nearly as long as warping up the whole loom all over again :OWhen actually weaving, one pass in the wrong shaft combination will also result in the pattern being incorrect, so it needs to be unpulled and corrected.Handweaving is very mathematical, logical, and process-driven.Which is why I love it!Maybe that’s...

Mustard / Dusty Pink Vintage weave!I had a request to make a couple more of these for The Jam Factory, and I had forgotten how much I love this weave structure!For the weaving nerds out there, it’s a 4 shaft M & W draft. It’s strange how light the mustard looks against the oatmeal and dusty pink warp - it looks much darker against my usual black warp ;)Head over to the Jam Factory in the city if you want one … saying that, I think I’ll need to make more in this design again!
